Tesisquare launches Platform 8.0: the new generation of digital supply chain is here

Tesisquare’s latest release combines artificial intelligence, real-time data and a microservices architecture for connecting and optimising supply chains, end to end

Bra, October 12, 2026 – Today, supply chains determine a business’ ability to compete. Yet, in Italy, less than 20% of companies are using advanced technology for supply chain management and traceability, according to the Supply Chain Planning Observatory within the Politecnico di Milano’s School of Management. The ability to monitor the full length of the supply chain – from supplier to end user – in real time is no longer merely a competitive advantage; it is an entry requirement.

Against this context, digital supply chain solutions specialist Tesisquare has announced Platform 8.0, the latest version of its proprietary platform. The new release is built following a scalable microservices architecture and is designed to speed up development, while enabling native interaction between its modules and also speeding up the time taken to put developed solutions into action. Its goal is to accompany clients as they journey towards more autonomous, AI-driven business models.

Tesisquare’s Platform 8.0 marks a leap forward with respect to its predecessors, consolidating that AI-driven approach and combining two complementary strategic directions:
1) An AI-powered approach that folds intelligence and automation directly into the solutions clients use every day, whether that is the Control Tower, order management or logistics. It speeds up decision-making processes and reduces the operational margin of error.
2) The AI-native approach introduces new functionalities that have been designed around artificial intelligence, paving the way for new fields of application, from supply disruption forecasting to dynamic process optimisation.

“In today’s market, complexity is growing at lightning speed. Companies need to match that speed to handle the greater complexity: the only way to rise to this challenge is to keep step with technological evolution,” said Salvatore Paparelli, MD at Tesisquare. “Platform 8.0 strives towards precisely this: infrastructure designed to anticipate – rather than chase – our clients’ needs. This infrastructure works with an evolving supply chain, guiding it towards an increasingly intelligent, dependable and secure model.”

Platform 8.0 also introduces a new architecture based on the grouping of independent microservices, each with its own front-end, back-end and database.
This new architecture will at first be applied to the platform’s principal modules, working in tandem with existing solutions alongside which it will continue to exist over the next few years.

With Suite Manager and Tenant Manager, clients can increasingly manage their customisations using data instead of code, facilitating earlier launches and gradual transitions, while avoiding operational disruption. This allows the platform to evolve progressively with the addition of new modules, integrations and updates, thus reducing the complexity of update cycles for any company that is a Tesisquare client. This architectural transition is a core pillar in Tesisquare’s three-year technological roadmap.

Platform 8.0 also reinforces Tesisquare’s end-to-end supply chain vision and its goal of increasingly interconnecting every process in the value chain, upstream and downstream. It enables businesses to manage their entire ecosystems holistically, to connect all data, processes and many roles along the supply chain. All this leads to increased operating efficiency, better supply chain visibility and the generation of value.

There are also significant updates to the logistics and regulatory compliance modules. The Planning module has been redesigned to offer users greater operational autonomy, adding algorithms that can select the most suitable carrier in terms of cost, service level and CO2 emissions. The Command Centre aids management with its simulations: users can map out critical scenarios – whether in relation to sustainability risks or economic viability – and preview spending allocations across different suppliers to identify the most efficient solution.

On the compliance front, Tesisquare Network centralises data and documentation within a single ecosystem, free of charge for clients and suppliers. This blends the advantages of a shared network with the flexibility of a private portal. Integrating the various solutions in this way allows granular data about products and the various levels of the supply chain to be collected and stored in databases that inform Digital Product Passports and traceability from order to delivery.

Looking forward, Tesisquare has mapped out a three-stage development:
1. An ecosystem whose foundations are already in place and working today, one in which digital agents work together, exchanging data in real time.
2. By 2027, Tesisquare will release native modules that will be able to interact with any new AI standard.
3. Between 2028 and 2031, it will be possible to simulate the full supply chain, conducting virtual tests on thousands of critical scenarios before rolling them out in the real world.

“Artificial intelligence is not software to be installed but rather an organisational and cultural challenge grounded in three inseparable pillars: data, technology, people. Our goal with Platform 8.0 is to transform today’s unstructured data into immediately usable data, with the aim of reducing operational turnaround times by 70-80% and lowering the margin of error by 90%. Data quality is indeed the most essential prerequisite for speeding up processes and making increasingly autonomous decisions,” concluded Salvatore Paparelli.
